Meet the Writers



Laura Wirges

Laura Wirges has taught children in Sunday School and VBS for several years. She first started working with children when she was sixteen, assisting her mom. Laura loves working with children and helping them understand the lessons taught in the Bible. According to Laura, “It is an amazing blessing to see children excited to learn about the Scriptures.” Laura attended the Missionary Baptist Seminary in Little Rock, AR, and received a Master’s Degree in Bible Languages. Laura’s accomplishments also include her Christian fiction book, “Grace through Every Trial.” Laura’s main goal in life has always been to reach others for Christ and spreading His Word.

 

 

Patricia Richey

Patricia Richey wrote the theme-based lessons that are included with each quarterly as a bonus lesson. She is a full-time professor at Jacksonville College–the only two-year independent college in Texas. She is also an adjunct instructor at LeTourneau University. Patricia holds several degrees from Stephen F. Austin State University. She received her doctorate in supervision, curriculum, and instruction from Texas A&M-Commerce. Patricia and her husband, Nolan Richey, live in Omaha, Texas where he serves as pastor of Concord Missionary Baptist Church. Patricia is involved in the music ministry and women's ministry. They have three sons, three daughters-by-love, and six grandchildren. Patricia enjoys reading, sewing, quilting, gardening, cooking, and investing time with her family.
